After creating a sample letterhead together in class on Tuesday and then reviewing the process on Wednesday, each person was to create their own personal letterhead and submit it by email during class yesterday. Today we will be using the letterhead created together in class as the starting point to compose a cover letter.
When sending a resume to a potential employer you should always include a personalized cover letter that highlights your experience and background that is relevant to the position. A cover letter is a specific type of business letter that include the essential elements of all business letters: date line, inside address, message, and signature block.
